(unless your purpose is to recruit people for the project/gauge peoples likes and dislikes to shape the game, in that case, that’s pre-alpha development, and should always be considered a risk with low chance of reward. Not all attention is good attention that furthers the development, be sure to present/pitch the product properly in order to represent it, and stay on peoples good side despite working your own ambition, otherwise the product will have a low chance of gaining momentum)Ĥ: if parts of the product isn’t certain:ī: mention another thing that’s already done/implemented to the core, to satisfy the perceivers curiosity.ĭ: say it’s alpha, so everything can still change, and give a taste of it.Į: distract with a joke, tease or an ambiguous answer. Nope you are wrong is either you make it or not after that you can use patreon to get some money later when you are in final stages that is bug fixing. Patreon is not a piggy bank is a tip jar but everyone is using it as a piggy bank If you want to make something you make it ,you don't start a patreon and say i'm making this game is in the first stage of development and when you start getting money you start with excuses just to delay everything to get more money. There are people that want to get support that have more talent and abilities but they don't get money simply because of people using akabur piggy bank scheme. Just think that there is a project that has bug mangakas names,he need money to get them make the CGS but because people don't donate money for the mentioned reason the project is on hold,he even make MMD videos and releases characters but he don't get money. The more easy stuff to make to all the ones that use patreon as piggy bank is simply pretend to donate and after that grab the game and upload it on mega and make the payments null, this can be done because the person that wants to get the mangakas to make his CGs suffered that and his tech demo got leaked online.
